Dr. Paula Harre is a native of Lincoln who graduated from Lincoln High School, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. Upon completion of a general practice residency at the Veteran’s Hospital in Omaha, she started her family dental practice in Broken Bow, Nebraska where she practiced for nine years. Her desire to specialize in orthodontics brought her back to the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. Two years later, she received her Master’s Degree and orthodontic specialty certificate. She has been creating great smiles at Harre Orthodontics since 1995.
Dr. Harre’s commitment to her profession makes her an active member of several organizations, including the Lincoln and Nebraska Dental Association as well as the Nebraska and Midwest Society of Orthodontists. She has been the Nebraska Director of the American Association of Orthodontists for the past four years, representing her Nebraska orthodontic colleagues at the regional and national level. Recently, she became certified with the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Harre has also been teaching part-time at the University of Nebraska Dental College since 1992.
Leisure time activities include swimming, golfing and traveling with her husband Dan Duncan, who is the Director of the University of Nebraska’s Agriculture Research and Development Center in Mead, Nebraska. Both she and Dan are avid Husker fans, attending as many football, basketball, baseball and volleyball games as their schedules permit. Their favorite pastime is spending time with their young nephews, Sam and Joe. And yes, Dr. Harre is a big fan of movies. Her favorites include It's A Wonderful Life, Gone With the Wind, and Schindler's List.
